    82. i'm subscribed. suggestions: middlemarch (looove it), crime and punishment (another favorite). i have to 2nd rebecca (by du maurier--there's a great hitchcock movie based on it). SO GOOD. just read it a few months ago and adored it.

if you have an ereader, war and peace is supposed to be good! i got it from project gutenburg for my nook, but haven't started yet.

if you need a break from the denser classics and want something a bit fluffy, forever amber is a massive book from 1944, clearly a precursor to the modern romance novel and to period historical fiction. the main character is a bit much (selfish, no redeeming qualities), but it's a page turner anyway! also, an effective doorstop. sadly, it wasn't available for my ereader!

I'm not sure if you're into reading plays or not, but "Cyrano De Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand is a classic I really enjoyed. Again, it's a play, but it reads very well.

      Thanks for the giveaway!

    152. I have a hard time recommending books to other people, because I'm afraid they won't like them. :D I'm sure this has already been suggested, but one of my favorite classics is Jane Eyre.

    153. I really don't have any absolute favorites, I read everything. I am very excited right now though since my 9 year old son is becoming an avid reader, love promoting this over the video games!!!
      Thanks for the opportunity.
