Hi guys! Since this blog is still new, I thought it would be appropriate to have a giveaway! Consider this our mutual welcome to the blog.
I wasn't sure what to give away (I'm very indecisive), so I'm leaving the choices up to you. I'm keeping it broad, with a $25 Amazon Gift Card for books!
There will be ONE winner! When you win, I will message you and ask for your email address. Because the card will be given through email, this giveaway is INTERNATIONAL.

- ~ You MUST be a subscriber to this blog ~
- Post about this giveaway (with a link!) on Twitter +1 entry

Subscribing through Google Reader was easy. Picking a classic with so many great choices, not so easy. Twain is always top notch. If you like books for young readers, consider The Secret Garden.

i'm subscribed. suggestions: middlemarch (looove it), crime and punishment (another favorite). i have to 2nd rebecca (by du maurier--there's a great hitchcock movie based on it). SO GOOD. just read it a few months ago and adored it.
ReplyDeleteif you have an ereader, war and peace is supposed to be good! i got it from project gutenburg for my nook, but haven't started yet.
if you need a break from the denser classics and want something a bit fluffy, forever amber is a massive book from 1944, clearly a precursor to the modern romance novel and to period historical fiction. the main character is a bit much (selfish, no redeeming qualities), but it's a page turner anyway! also, an effective doorstop. sadly, it wasn't available for my ereader!
(delete this comment, but lolita is supposed to be excellent on audio. it's read by jeremy irons. another i have been meaning to get to!)
